VASYL KIKINYOV (1930 – 2017, Kyiv) – painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine (2007). Member of the National Union of Ukraine (1980). He graduated from the Luhansk Art School (1954; teachers T. Kapkanets, O. Filbert). Participant of regional, all-Ukrainian, all-union and international art exhibitions. He preferred the plein air to a realistic landscape. He created thematic paintings, portraits with expressive lyrical color; colorful, complex still lifes, which show the influence of the Impressionist worldview. The works are stored in Ukraine and in private collections in Europe.
