PAVLO VOLYK (1941, Kotelva township, Poltava region – 2018, Poltava) – sculptor and painter; member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1977); People’s Artist of Ukraine (2016).

He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1971, teachers Zapasko J., Kurylych M., Ovsiychuk V). Since 2001 – Associate Professor of Fine Arts, Poltava Technical University.

The main works are in the fields of wood and metal processing, carpet weaving, easel and monumental painting. His works are characterized by a clear composition and restraint of colors with subtle gradations of tones.
Participant of Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions since 1970. Personal exhibitions took place in Poltava (1991, 1993, 1995-1999, 2001), Kyiv, Lviv (1991, 2002), Zhytomyr (1999), Ivano-Frankivsk (1999), Kharkiv (2003) , Descriptive (2003). The works are stored in the Taras Shevchenko National Museum, Kharkiv Art Museum, Poltava Art and Local History Museums, as well as in private collections in England, Greece, Georgia, Canada, USA, Israel, Germany and Jamaica.
