MAKAROV VICTOR (1932, Kryvyi Rih -2018) – expressionist artist, graphic artist. Ukrainian artist, who was called “Van Gogh of the present”, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993) and the International Trade Union of Artists, a veteran of labor, a participant in city, regional, national and international exhibitions. Awarded the title of People’s Master of Painting (2000). At different times of the year, Victor Makarov caught precious treasures on sketches – fragments of the ancient history of Ukraine, which will remain forever on the canvases of the famous Ukrainian painter. The creator skillfully reflects the spirit of nature, which literally comes to life on him. Some works are stored in the Ternopil Museum of Local Lore and Art, private collections of citizens of the United States, Croatia and Ukraine.
