OLEKSIY POLYAKOV (1943, Kalynove village, Luhansk region) – landscape artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1985); Honored Artist of Ukraine (1996); People’s Artist of Ukraine (2009). Author of thematic paintings, landscapes and still lifes.

He graduated from the Donetsk Folk Studio of Fine Arts of the Ivan Franko Palace of Culture (1976, teachers V. Tolochko, O. Lyakhov). He worked as a decorator in the Donetsk House of Culture.

Since 1972 he has been participating in exhibitions. He held 16 solo exhibitions, the first of which took place in 1974 in Donetsk. The works are stored in the Donetsk Regional Art Museum, Horlivka Art Museum, Zaporizhia Regional Art Museum, etc. His works are stored in the Museums of Ukraine and in private collections in Poland, Holland, USA and Canada.
