SERHIY SHAPOVALOV (1943, Ingulo-Kamyanka village, Kirovohrad region – 2021, Kirovohrad) – painter, Honored Artist of Ukraine; member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1989); laureate of the regional prize in the field of fine arts and art history named after O. Osmerkin in the nomination “National Tradition” (2006).
He graduated from the Alexandria Pedagogical School (1962) and the Kyiv State Art Institute (teachers V. Gurin, V. Shatalin). He worked in the field of easel painting in a realistic style. Master of landscapes and still life.
Participant in various Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions (New York. Inter-Expo, Berlin), as well as personal exhibitions in Guadalajara (2004), Kiev (2010) and others. The artist’s works are stored in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Spain, USA, Israel and others.
