PRAKHOVA OLEKSANDRA (1950, Kyiv – 2011, Kyiv) – Ukrainian graphic artist. A representative of the New Ukrainian Wave, she worked in the style of abstract neo-expressionism. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (USSR) in 1983. She graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1975). The artist is known as a calligrapher and a master of color lithography and silk printing. She has participated in more than 60 international and national exhibitions. The works are stored in museum and private collections in Ukraine, France, Germany, Japan and the USA.
